At a fire prevention company, we automated the classification of all
documents related to accounts payable. Specifically, all issued checks and
their justifying documents.
We intercepted the checks when they are printed so we could extract all
the metadata and add a barcode to them. The check and metadata are archived
in Quaero. Later, an employee scans the checks and their justifying
documents. Quaero matches the barcode and pairs the check with the metadata
These procedures save a lot of time necessary for
document filing. What's more, this allowed the
company to recover the space occupied by filing cabinets.
Previously, the company had archived the last 7 years of documents because
of governemental requirements. The space taken up by documents for the
current year were converted into office spaces for the sales team.
